The Information Warfare Consortium Shaping GHF’s PR Offensive
New Story for Drop Site News
Hi all — I’ve got a new story out with
:I started working on this after reading
’s excellent piece earlier this month: Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s private military contractor hires crisis comms firm led by former Biden and Obama spokespersons.Jack is one of the sharpest reporters on national security, spytech, and info warfare—and if you’re not already reading his newsletter, All-Source Intelligence, you should change that. His piece revealed that UG Solutions—the private security firm whose mercenaries were filmed firing at aid seekers—is working with Seven Letter, a Democratic-led PR firm that helped “contextualize” the footage after AP published it, and it sparked outrage.
I reached out to Jack to ask if he knew who might be behind GHF’s public relations after I saw this insane phenomenon on X last week:
He pointed me to two key players, both featured in my piece:
Chapin Fay, a longtime Republican operative and crisis comms specialist, now cosplaying as a beleaguered humanitarian worker while serving as GHF’s on-the-ground spokesperson
Jenn Counter, an information warfare expert who worked for the firm that designed GHF—Orbis—before transitioning to the firm spun off to implement it—Safe Reach Solutions—while also teaching at Columbia. She literally wrote a playbook on “offensive influence.” I initially broke down her tactics in this (admittedly breathless) X thread before deciding to dig deeper.
Those two were the jumping-off point for my reporting, which traces the years-long effort to smear and dismantle the UN’s aid infrastructure in Gaza, replace it with GHF, and attempt—and increasingly fail—to control the narrative on the ground as mass starvation spreads and Israeli forces continue killing aid seekers daily.
Please read and share The Information Warfare Consortium Shaping GHF’s PR Offensive. As you do, consider how Columbia punished student activists who treated Israel’s annihilation of Gaza as the emergency it was—disrupting the status quo—while those directly involved in orchestrating it will, if history is any guide, face no accountability and continue advancing their careers, including at Columbia.
And don’t forget to subscribe to Jack Poulson’s All-Source Intelligence.
Back in a few days with my regular newsletter.
