Gaza has revealed a fracture in our world so deep that once seen, it can't be unseen. Today I found myself mostly silent. Went to the Bronx Zoo with my niece and watching happy, curious children brought a sharp sadness. I couldn't help but think of the unimaginable horror & trauma the children of Gaza have endured - stolen childhoods, irreversible damage. They should be enjoying their childhoods. I imagined them there, looking at the animals, smiling in amazement like the children I saw today.
The story of the boy falling into a boiling pot of water broke me today. He died hungry ๐
It's important more than ever to speak out and to document what's happening, but when will this madness and cruelty end?
I don't even know what question to ask anymore. Because it will end when our leaders decide it ends, & they'll only end it when it no longer serves their interests. How unbelievably cruel and maddening to exist in such a world.
Once again I applaud your efforts to spread "the horror", to quote a line from Apocalypse Now. This one was exceptionally gruesome, and its impact should startle and annoy the sleepers and deniers. Keep safe and don't become a target.
Out of all the heartbreaking things compiled here, this one quote hurt me the most - โA woman in Gaza described trying to explain the famine to little children. โWe struggle to convince them that we are not punishing them by hiding food.โโ Also, Sara Netanyahu is a demon.
The hatred documented in this post is unbearable. We've entered a new dark age where cruelty has become entertainment.

Words fail me and my heart breaks at the hate. Thank you for your work putting this together, bearing witness to the unbearable.

You are doing this so we don't have to. Hats off.

I second this comment. Grateful to your witness that enables us to also bear witness.
